With the idea of bringing together researchers from academia and industry working on biological and chemical CO2 utilization, the Carbon Tech Symposium was organized for the first time at the University of Groningen.

Jingxiu Xie, my co-organizer, and I are grateful that the symposium was very well received by the different research communities. We thank all the invited speakers for coming to Groningen and giving inspiring talks on future carbon tech strategies. It was a fantastic and inspiring one-day symposium and a pleasure to organize this event together with Jingxiu!
