Niels pursued his master’s degree in molecular biology and biotechnology at the University of Groningen and recently finished his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Arnold J.M. Driessen. Niels starts his postdoc in September 2022 and will work on elucidating the late-stage diversification of indole alkaloid biosynthesis and the development of novel Rieske oxygenases as promising biocatalysts.
